4. Monitoring and Care Throughout Pregnancy

a. Prenatal Tests and Screenings:

Various tests ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby throughout pregnancy. These might include genetic screenings, which can predict potential chromosomal abnormalities. It can also include glucose tolerance tests to check for gestational diabetes; and the Group B Streptococcus (GBS) screening, for predicting possible infections during delivery.

A balanced diet is fundamental during pregnancy. It should be rich in nutrients such as folic acid, calcium, and iron.
