Dr Sameer Sadawarte is Head of Department and Senior Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, bringing over fifteen years of specialised experience in children’s health. After completing his MBBS and MD in Paediatrics, he pursued advanced training in neonatal intensive care and paediatric infectious diseases. Dr Sadawarte oversees the NICU and PICU, managing complex cases such as preterm infant ventilation, neonatal sepsis, and congenital infections. He is known for implementing stringent infection control protocols and utilising evidence-based antibiotic stewardship to combat resistant organisms in the paediatric population. In addition to critical care, he leads initiatives for early developmental screening, immunisation drives and community outreach camps targeting underprivileged areas of Mumbai. Dr Sadawarte also mentors junior doctors and nursing staff, conducting regular training sessions on neonatal resuscitation, paediatric emergency algorithms and nutritional support for low-birth-weight infants.
