Dr. Mohammad Furqan, BHMS, MD (Homoeopathic Materia Medica), PhD Research Fellow, is a senior homoeopathic physician, academician, researcher, and medical writer with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and healthcare administration. He completed his Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Homoeopathic Materia Medica from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Dr. BAMU), Aurangabad. He also holds a Diploma in Hospital Management and Administration, reflecting his interest in healthcare management and institutional leadership.
Dr. Furqan has served as Professor, Head of Department, and Dean in homoeopathic medical institutions in Maharashtra, where he has played an active role in academic leadership, postgraduate teaching, and regulatory coordination with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and AYUSH authorities.
He is currently working as PG and PhD In-Charge at Gurumishri Homoeopathic Medical College, Shelgaon, Jalna, Maharashtra, where he is responsible for coordinating postgraduate and doctoral academic activities, guiding research initiatives, and supporting advanced homoeopathic education.
During his academic career, he has mentored numerous postgraduate students and contributed to strengthening homoeopathic education. He has published more than 21 research papers in national and international journals and continues to contribute to academic discussions in homoeopathy and clinical research.
