  • HyFoSy (hysterosalpingo-foam sonography) and HyCoSy (hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography): Use ultrasound with a contrast solution instead of X-rays, often causing less discomfort and avoiding radiation exposure.
  • Laparoscopy: A small camera is inserted through a tiny abdominal incision. Dye is used to test tube patency, and doctors can directly see scarring, adhesions, or endometriosis.

What are the Treatment Options For Blocked or Damaged Fallopian Tubes?

Treatment for fallopian tube problems depends on the type and severity of the issue:

  • Laparoscopic surgery: Minor blockages or adhesions can sometimes be removed, though there is a slightly higher risk of ectopic pregnancy afterwards.
